Abstract

Communication for peace is a multi-faceted area which is based primordially in practice and lacks of academic quorum. With the aim of collecting and analyzing the various acceptations that can be found in formal literature, this study presents a taxonomic proposal. This proposal includes the variety of senses presents in academic papers, the practices associated to those, and the actors that facilitate its implementation. Taking into account the conclusions found, this paper also analyses the dominant paradigms from a critical approach; and it offers questions for further research.
